The Casa Del Popolo stage was filled with stars of the spoken word poetry scene on Sunday August 22nd, 2010, beginning at 9 p.m. with Amal El-Mohtar who read a few works including her Rhysling award winning short poem "Song for an Ancient City." We then hear a series of "jazz poems," "stories" and "rants" from Luna Allison and more stories and poetry from Sheri-D Wilson, some of which are accompanied by live French translations by Elizabeth Roberts. The night concludes with a high energy performance by NYC’s Regie Cabico and folk music by NEeMA from her album "Watching You Think."
