Notes:
Ian Ferrier’s host script introduces a packed and exciting show for the May 19th 2013 edition of Words and Music at the Casa del Popolo. The show kicked off with a “WORD RACE” (advertised too in a poster for the event), a game pitting audience against poets to see who couldtalkfastest. This interaction was followed by performances by transdisciplinary performer Alexis O’Hara, and Ottawa poet and musician Nathanael Larochette. Isis of the Isis Giraldo Project was on piano and vocals, with Hans Bernard on bass and Montreal poet Susan Briscoe with accompanying verse.
