Notes:
A poster for the December 21st event presents an exciting cast collaborating for a special Words and Music Solstice show, featuring a rendition of The Muted Note by Susanna Hood and Scott Thomson. This suite of songs and dance was composed and performed symbiotically, with Scott composing and Susanna choreographing. Their hybrid performance speaks of metamorphosis - the two integrated song, dance and improvisation inspired by the poetry of P.K Page in their extensive Canadian tour that involved varying artists (information retrieved from Susanna Hood’s website). In this particular Words and Music edition they are accompanied by the music of Jesse Mac Cormack, a story by April L. Ford and verse by Nahka Bers. The event poster also names Anne Stratford, the bilingual and multidisciplinary artist and ESL teacher (information from Westmount Mag). Tickets for this spectacle were 6$, doors at 8, and show at 9. It is a PK Page/Philip Stratford poetry collaboration.
