Ian Ferrier’s introduction of this event recorded at Casa Del Popolo reveals that poet Rabbit Richards intended to perform, but couldn’t due to poor health. However, many of her friends were in attendance and some of her fellow poets, such as Anomaly and MCC, agreed to perform in her stead. Author and multidisciplinary artist Oana Avasilichioaei then took to the stage to perform a piece about borders, weaving together a poem entitled “Bound” and another unnamed piece written in English, French, and Romanian from her book “Limbinal” (Talonbooks 2015) accompanied by a video created in collaboration with Jessie Altura.The recording does not include the musical performance by the “absorbing duo” that make up Creatures of the Ice Age/Animals of the Air or that of “2016 Montreal Poetry Slam team” member Halogen, as announced on the event poster and referenced in a document entitled “This Sunday June 26 th the Words and Music Show.doc.”
