Notes:
The October 23rd, 2016 recording begins abruptly with Mark Abley reading “One Night,” followed by “Montreal” and “Glasburyon,” a poem about dead and endangered languages, at La Vitrola. Though she began with a standard reading, Kelly Norah Drukker and Choeur Elan also collaborated to translate Drukker’s poetry from “Small Fires” (McGill-Queen's University Press 2016) into song. After the intermission, Isis Giraldo and Chiquita Magic performed a set of Spanish synthpop songs, including “Sombras” and “Amistad,” and Stefan Christoff performed solo on electric guitar.
