CONTENT

Notes:
This special edition of The Words and Music Show was dedicated to the memory of Montreal poet Matt Santateresa. “Matteo Santateresa bio.doc” details Santateresa’s bibliography, comprised of chapbooks and poetry collections, such as “The Traveller” (Rogue Press 1999) “Combustible Light” (Broken Jaw Press 1999), “Icarus Redux” (Mansfield Press 2003), “A Beggar’s Loom” (Mansfield Press 2002), and “Chernobyl Blue” (Mansfield Press 2016). “Show ZDescription.docx” explains how Santateresa “left his library to be distributed to the poets of Montreal.” From the Facebook event, we are told that the purpose of the giveaway was “to spread Matt’s interests and books so that they live on in the work of the poets of Montreal.” Copies of all of his poetry books were “on display...at La Vitrola,” as of 8 p.m. and attendees could also purchase his books, with the “proceeds going towards cancer research.” At 9 p.m. the performances began, featuring “the amazing Tanya Davis, dancer/performer Greg Selinger, and some ambient music from Creatures of the Ice Age” (Ian Ferrier and Sarah Albu). Additionally, “to lead off and punctuate the show, poets and friends of Matt” were invited to read selections of his work. https://www.facebook.com/events/224585028189314/
