Notes:
Brandon Pitts kicked off the October 21st, 2018 Words and Music Show with an original poem. Mike Di Sclafani, described in “Literary Bio.docx” as ”a multidisciplinary artist whose main practices are poetry, photo, video and music,” read a piece called “(art)re” accompanied by a pre-recorded track he composed. Josh Quirion made his third appearance on the W&M Show stage to read “The F Word” and “Ferda.” Anomaly read a series of short poems from her chapbooks, including “Nostalgia,” “Space,” and “December 31st.” In the final act of the evening, Bryan Highbloom and Jean-Patrice Rémillard presented what “Rémillard and Highbloom.docx” terms a “new jazz/minimal tech meeting of the minds, merg[ing] the increasingly distinct and experimental sides of deep, dubby textural techo with tenor sax” in an hour-long jam session.
