CONTENT

Contents:
A listening practice guided by Klara du Plessis. In September 2020, and with the restrictions COVID-19 placed on book launches and book tours, Klara organized a series of 6-person, outdoor, and distanced discussions to celebrate her second poetry collection, Hell Light Flesh. Each discussion centered around a series of similar passages from the new book, along with directed topics for conversation. Despite the similar starting point, each discussion veered into divergent directions according to the groupings of people present. This listening practice shared recorded audio from these events to illustrate varying approaches to analyzing the same talking points, while also considering the intimate event format, and touching upon Klara's book in the process.
