This program is about Native people of the. Joe Bruchac goes back to listening to tales that he'd been told by his Abenaki grandfather; in this tape, he is retelling those stories, and creating insights into Native American tradition through his writing. In this tape, he's reading from two of his collections called "Turkey Brother, and other tales" and "Stone Giants and Flying Heads" On the second side, Joseph Bruchac talks about the significant role of women in the traditional culture and two very courageous women
