Trilingual poet and singer Valerie Curro Khayat read a poem divided into five chapters and punctuated by songs, including “Acontentase” by Italian artist Bruno Lauzi.\nAngela Hibbs, author of “Passport, Wanton” (Insomniac 2009) and “Sin Eater” (Arp Press 2014), rounded off the first set with a poetry reading featuring both old and new work. In the second set, West coast “poet, musician, and activist” Anomaly performed a number of pieces, including one which incorporated a portion of “At The Bird’s Foot” by City and Colour, and two poems entitled “Bystander Intervention” and “Firefighting.” Want Slash Need, a group led by composer and multi-instrumentalist Geof Holbrook, with Pemi Paull on viola, J.C.
