This tape is both in English and Chinese. Fred Wah is on a tour in China. He begins his speech tallking about the reason why and how Fred Wah and Tish poet became interested in Chinese contemporary poetry; he shares a bit about the particular Canadian poetry context, and what problems he has with reading British poetry. Fred Wah also talks about new ways of writing, long poems, exchange between American language poets and Canadian language poet, and Feminist poetry (French poets and their crucial role).
